Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of nutridetector.com, app.nutridetector.com and the related NutriDetector features, content and paid plans (together, the “Service”).

The Service is provided by Melomeal, MB, registration code 306144188, Tiltų g. 19, LT-91249 Klaipėda, Lithuania (“NutriDetector”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you purchase a paid plan, the plan information and recurring price shown to you before payment also form part of your contract with us. If you do not agree, do not use or purchase the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights available to consumers under applicable consumer-protection law.

1. About the Service

NutriDetector is an educational supplement-label analysis service. Depending on the feature and plan available to you, the Service may allow you to:

• paste supplement-label text or upload a label image for optical character recognition;
• review label transparency, disclosed dose, ingredient form, standardisation and related signals;
• compare supported supplement products;
• save eligible analyses and maintain a personal My Stack list;
• review ingredient overlap, combined-intake signals and rule-based cautions;
• enable optional Personalized Cautions based on profile tags you choose to provide.

Features may be limited by plan, account status, supported label type, available evidence, technical capacity, fair-use controls and geographic availability. The description and price displayed immediately before purchase control for the specific paid plan you select.

2. Eligibility

The Service is not intended for children under 16. You may use the Service only if you are at least 16 years old and may lawfully enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. A person purchasing a paid plan must have legal capacity to enter into the purchase or be properly authorised by a parent or legal guardian.

The standard Service is intended for individual, personal and non-commercial use. Use on behalf of a clinic, healthcare provider, retailer, research organisation or other business requires our prior written agreement unless we expressly offer a plan for that use.

3. Accounts and Account Security

Some features require a NutriDetector account. You must provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current and protect access to your account. You must not sell, transfer, share or make your account available to another person.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account to the extent that it results from your acts or omissions. Notify us promptly at hello@nutridetector.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may require reasonable verification before changing account or billing information.

4. Supplement-Label Inputs and Results

The quality of an analysis depends on the information submitted. Labels may be incomplete, outdated, difficult to read or inconsistent, and image recognition may misread text. You are responsible for checking extracted text and results against the original physical label.

A result applies only to the label information analysed at that time. It does not verify the identity, authenticity, purity, manufacturing quality, contamination status or regulatory compliance of the physical product. It also does not guarantee that a supplement is safe, effective or suitable for a particular person.

Evidence, product labels and NutriDetector’s deterministic rules may change. A later analysis of the same or a similar product may therefore produce a different result. Scores and labels such as “FINAL”, “ESTIMATE” or “Limited” describe the scope and confidence of the available analysis; they are not medical risk classifications.

5. No Medical Advice

NutriDetector provides general educational information about supplement labels. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, a prescription, an individual dosing instruction or a recommendation to start, stop or replace a supplement, medicine or treatment. It does not replace a doctor, pharmacist, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional.

Your use of the Service does not create a doctor-patient, pharmacist-patient, dietitian-client or other healthcare professional relationship between you and NutriDetector, Melomeal, MB or any of our service providers.

Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for a health or purchasing decision. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing a supplement routine, particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an allergy or medical condition, take medicines, are preparing for surgery, or are considering a supplement for a child.

Personalized Cautions match selected profile tags against defined rules. They do not review a complete medical history, detect every allergy or interaction, or determine personal safety. The absence of a caution does not mean that a product is safe or appropriate for you.

The Service is not designed for emergencies. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency or serious adverse reaction, contact emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional immediately.

6. Automated and AI-Assisted Processing

NutriDetector uses server-controlled deterministic logic and curated data contracts to calculate scores, apply dose and formulation rules, match safety-related cautions and determine factual analysis outcomes. Language or vision models may assist with label-image text extraction and limited explanatory wording, but they do not determine a score, make a safety decision or independently establish a factual conclusion for the Service.

Automated extraction and explanatory text can still contain errors or omit context. Where a narrative conflicts with the structured result, original label or cited source, do not treat the narrative as authoritative. Please report material inconsistencies to us.

7. Your Content

“Your Content” means label text, label images, notes and other material that you submit to the Service. You retain any rights you hold in Your Content. You confirm that you have the right or other lawful basis to submit it and that our processing of it as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy will not unlawfully infringe another person’s rights.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, transmit, extract, structure and otherwise process Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain and troubleshoot the Service, comply with law and exercise or defend legal claims. This licence is limited by our Privacy Policy and ends when the relevant content is deleted from active systems, except to the extent limited retention is permitted or required under that policy or applicable law.

Do not submit medical records, names, contact details or other personal information that is not needed for supplement-label analysis. Do not submit confidential information belonging to another person.

If you voluntarily send us product suggestions or general feedback that is separate from Your Content, you allow us to use that feedback without restriction or payment, provided that we do not publicly identify you without permission.

8. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• use the Service for an unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or deceptive purpose;
• submit malware, malicious instructions or content that infringes another person’s rights;
• probe, bypass or interfere with authentication, security, rate limits, quotas or billing controls;
• access or attempt to access another person’s account, scans, stack or other non-public data;
• scrape, crawl or use automated means to extract the Service or run bulk analyses without written permission;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to obtain source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• copy, resell, sublicense, frame or commercially exploit the Service or its analysis system;
• use the Service to make an automated clinical, insurance, employment or other high-impact decision about a person;
• misrepresent a NutriDetector result, remove its qualification or present it as medical approval.

Reasonable security testing requires our prior written authorisation. We may apply technical controls to prevent abuse, protect users and maintain reliable availability.

9. Free and Pro Plans

NutriDetector may offer free access with limited analyses or features and paid Pro access. The current plan comparison is shown in the Service before purchase. Free allowances do not have monetary value, are not transferable and may not be combined across accounts or recovered by creating additional accounts.

Where a Pro plan is described as including “unlimited analyses”, this means that no standard per-analysis quota applies to ordinary personal use during an active subscription. Reasonable technical, security, availability and anti-abuse rate limits still apply. It does not permit automated, bulk, shared-account, resale or commercial analysis.

Unless stated otherwise at purchase, saved analyses and account data are associated with your account rather than ownership of a Pro plan. Ending Pro may remove access to paid features and restore Free-plan limits, but does not by itself delete your account. Data retention and account deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Paid Subscriptions and Billing

NutriDetector currently offers Pro subscriptions with monthly or annual billing intervals. The total amount charged, currency, billing interval, included features and any applicable promotional terms are displayed before you submit the order. An annual plan may display a monthly equivalent for comparison, but the annual amount shown at checkout is charged for the full year in advance.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods equal to the selected billing interval until cancelled. At the start of each renewal period, the payment method associated with your billing account may be charged the then-applicable recurring amount disclosed to you.

Payments are processed through Stripe. Your subscription contract is with Melomeal, MB, not Stripe. You must provide a valid payment method and accurate billing information. If payment fails or a subscription becomes overdue, we may retry payment, restrict paid features or return the account to the Free plan, subject to applicable law.

If we verify that you were charged twice or charged an incorrect amount because of a billing error by us or our payment processor, we will correct the error and refund any amount improperly collected, normally to the original payment method. Contact us promptly and provide information reasonably needed to identify the account and transaction.

Promotional codes, discounts or trials, if offered, may be subject to additional conditions shown with the offer. Unless the offer expressly states otherwise, a discount applies only as described in that offer and does not change the regular renewal terms shown before purchase.

We may change a future subscription price for a valid business reason. We will provide advance notice where required, and a price change will apply no earlier than a subsequent renewal. You may cancel before the changed price takes effect. We will not retroactively increase the price of a billing period that has already been paid.

11. Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refunds

11.1 Cancelling renewal

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through Manage billing in your NutriDetector account, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancel before the next billing date to avoid the next renewal charge. Unless applicable law or an offer states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and you keep Pro access until then.

Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not automatically refund charges for a billing period that has already started. This does not limit any statutory right of withdrawal, refund, price reduction, termination or other remedy.

11.2 Statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, European Economic Area or another jurisdiction that provides a cooling-off right, you generally have the right to withdraw from an online service contract within 14 days after the contract is concluded, without giving a reason, subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law.

To exercise this right, send an unambiguous statement before the withdrawal period expires to hello@nutridetector.com. Include the email address used for your NutriDetector account and enough information to identify the purchase. You may use the model notice below, but it is not mandatory:

To Melomeal, MB, Tiltų g. 19, LT-91249 Klaipėda, Lithuania, hello@nutridetector.com: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the NutriDetector Pro subscription purchased on [purchase date]. Account email: [email]. Name: [name]. Date: [date].

If, at your express request, the paid Service begins during the withdrawal period and you then withdraw, we may be entitled to retain or charge an amount proportionate to the Service supplied before we received your notice, but only where the legal conditions for doing so have been met.

Where withdrawal applies, we will reimburse the amount due under applicable law without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed. Access to paid features may end when the withdrawal is processed.

11.3 Service problems and other refunds

Except where mandatory law, a statutory right of withdrawal or an expressly stated refund guarantee applies, subscription charges are non-refundable. Cancelling a subscription, not using paid features, forgetting to cancel before a renewal date or changing your mind after the applicable withdrawal period does not by itself create a right to a full or partial refund.

If a paid feature is not supplied, is materially defective or does not match the contractual description, contact us promptly. Statutory remedies may include bringing the Service into conformity, a proportionate price reduction or termination with reimbursement, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Any discretionary refund or promotional guarantee that we expressly present at checkout or in a separate published offer applies in addition to, and does not replace, mandatory consumer rights. If we approve a refund, it will normally be made to the original payment method and we may end the corresponding paid access. A discretionary refund in one case does not create a right to the same outcome in another case.

12. Intellectual Property and Your Licence

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, structure, original graphics, deterministic rules, curated data contracts and original explanatory materials, is owned by or licensed to Melomeal, MB and is protected by intellectual-property law. Scientific papers, product names, trademarks and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the Service during the period for which it is made available to you. You may retain and use results provided to your account for personal, non-commercial purposes, including discussing them with a healthcare professional. No ownership in the Service or its underlying analysis system is transferred to you.

If you believe that material available through the Service infringes an intellectual-property right, email hello@nutridetector.com and identify the protected work or right, the material and its location, your contact details, the basis of the claim and, where relevant, your authority to act for the rights holder. We may request reasonable additional information and may restrict or remove material while reviewing a sufficiently supported notice.

13. Third-Party Services, Sources and Links

The Service depends on third-party services for functions such as authentication, payment processing, hosting and limited automated processing. It may also link to scientific sources, manufacturer pages or other third-party websites. Third parties may have their own terms and privacy notices for their independent services.

A link or citation does not mean that NutriDetector controls or endorses every statement, product or practice on the third-party site. We are not responsible for third-party content or services outside our reasonable control, but this does not reduce any responsibility we have for our own performance under applicable law.

14. Service Availability, Updates and Modifications

We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security incidents, provider failures, internet conditions and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability. We may apply updates needed for security, compatibility, legal compliance, evidence quality or product improvement.

We may modify features, interfaces, supported inputs, evidence sources and analysis rules for valid reasons such as improving reliability, reflecting new evidence, addressing misuse or complying with law. Modifications will be made without additional cost during a paid term unless you agree otherwise. If a modification negatively affects a paid consumer’s access to or use of the Service in more than a minor way, we will provide clear advance information and any right to terminate required by applicable law.

If we permanently discontinue a paid Service before the end of a prepaid period for a reason unrelated to your breach, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law, which may include continued access for the paid period, a suitable replacement or reimbursement for the affected unused period.

15. Suspension, Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may manage your subscription separately through Manage billing and may request account deletion through the available account controls. Deleting an account may cause immediate and irreversible loss of scans, My Stack, Personalized Cautions and other account data. Our account-deletion workflow also attempts to cancel an active subscription; review your billing status before deleting the account.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, security risk, unlawful activity, non-payment, material breach of these Terms or harm to users or the Service. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue. We may terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, or where continued provision is unlawful or technically impossible.

Suspension or termination does not remove accrued payment obligations or mandatory consumer remedies. Sections that by their nature should continue, including intellectual-property, liability, dispute and payment provisions, survive termination.

16. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without a promise that every ingredient, interaction, contraindication, claim, evidence source or label defect will be identified. Science evolves, labels differ between markets and manufacturers, and individual circumstances cannot be inferred from a supplement label alone.

These disclaimers do not exclude the statutory conformity obligations or remedies that apply to digital services supplied to consumers.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If you use the Service as a consumer, we are responsible for loss that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that is not reasonably foreseeable, for loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information you supplied, or for events outside our reasonable control. Because the standard Service is offered for personal use, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption arising from unauthorised business use.

You remain responsible for independently evaluating supplement and health decisions and for obtaining professional advice where appropriate. This does not affect liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

18. Privacy and Cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and similar technologies. These policies do not replace the contractual provisions in these Terms.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms for valid reasons, including changes to the Service, security, technology, law or our business model. The updated version will be published with a revised “Last updated” date.

We will provide reasonable advance notice of a material change that adversely affects an active paid subscription, unless an urgent legal or security reason requires faster action. Where required by law, you may reject the change and terminate the affected contract. A change will not retroactively alter rights or obligations for a completed billing period.

20. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Please first send any complaint concerning the Service, subscription, payment or refund to hello@nutridetector.com. Identify the account and transaction where relevant, describe the issue and state the remedy you request. We will review consumer complaints free of charge and provide a reasoned written response within 14 days where required by Lithuanian consumer law.

If you are a consumer and we do not resolve the complaint, you may apply to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (VVTAT), A. Goštauto g. 12, LT-01108 Vilnius, Lithuania. Information about filing a request and the Consumer Rights Information System (VTIS) is available at vvtat.lrv.lt. You may also use another competent consumer dispute-resolution body where applicable.

These Terms and our relationship are governed by Lithuanian law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of the country where you habitually reside. Courts have jurisdiction as determined by applicable law; these Terms do not require a consumer to bring a claim exclusively in Lithuania where mandatory law permits proceedings elsewhere.

21. General Terms

We may provide account, authentication, security, billing, subscription, contractual and Service-operation notices electronically, including by email to the address associated with your account or through the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account email current. Marketing communications are handled separately and are sent only where we have an appropriate legal basis; you may unsubscribe from marketing without opting out of necessary Service notices.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply, and the affected provision will apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.

You may not transfer your account or contractual rights without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganisation, financing, merger or transfer of the Service only where doing so does not reduce mandatory protections or materially prejudice your rights. We will provide notice where required.

These Terms, the plan and price information shown at purchase, and any additional terms expressly accepted for an offer form the agreement concerning your use or purchase of the Service. You may save or print a copy of these Terms for your records.

If additional terms are presented for and accepted with a specific promotion, trial, paid plan or feature, those additional terms apply only to that offering. If they conflict with these Terms, they control only to the extent of that conflict and only for the relevant offering. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
